Birds Seeking Paradise is made of mouth blown hand made Fremont Antique Glass in Seattle. I selected this glass from an old pile covered in dust and forgotten. The teal was irresistible to me for its richness. The gold glass presents mouth blown glass at its finest - the gradation from brown to gold to green results from the addition of separate colors during the blowing process.
This is a sister piece to Vacillation. They are beautiful individually and together. Birds continues with the flowing lines of Vacillation and brings more realism to the feeling of birds of paradise, but paradise is a place we always seek, it is never fully realized in one static frame.
