California is a state of dreams, diversity and wildness. There are so many ways to look at this great Golden State, but the best way of course, is in glass. Each California is handmade using the copper foil method of stained glass construction. The glass is bound in part with zinc framing to ensure stability and flexible lead framing to accommodate the curves. The nature of California’s shape allows it to hang perfectly balanced from one eyelet in the upper right hand corner. It comes with chain to hang it that will last a lifetime.
Each California contains some combination of imported hand made glass and domestic machine rolled glass. Because of this, every piece will be different and every piece of glass will host its own unique characteristics of bubbles, streaks, folds and shading.
