The Light Thief

$750.00

11”x17” stained glass

This raven tells the traditional story of the indigenous Pacific Northwest peoples of how Raven stole light that man had hidden in a box and gave it to the world to reveal the beauty around us. This particular Raven is perched in front of the Blood Moon, which occurred March 3rd of this year and coincided with a total lunar eclipse. That is why this particular moon has two appearances: red when backlit, and iridescent silver-magenta when viewed at night or without light behind it. As usual, ravens out-smart humans and always seem to have a jolly good time doing it.
