The Light Thief is a story about a raven who transforms into a little boy in order to steal the light from his old grandpa. Light is kept in a box and the world lives in darkness. When the boy finally gets the light he transforms back into Raven and flies off scattering stars into the darkness. When he throws it into the sky it brings sunlight to the world.
This scene takes place under the blood moon (which we had last March). This moon burns red with sunlight behind it and at night it reflects a silvery yellow moon. The raven also is made with iridescent black and grey glass giving off mysterious shimmers.
